Cat Grooming Terms and Conditions

• For the safety of our staff and your pet, Paawtopia requests that you inform us at the time of booking if your cat demonstrates or is prone to any challenging or aggressive behaviour.
• Cats must arrive in a suitable and secure container.Paawtopia works to a strict time frame to ensure that your pet receives ample grooming time and dedicated one-to-one care. Please ensure you are on time for all appointments. If you are early we may not be able to grant immediate access and would ask that you wait until you allocated time. Likewise, if you are more than 15 minutes late, we may have to refuse your groom on welfare grounds as rushing the groom may lead to unnecessary stress and possible injury. A fee equal to the cost of the groom will be incurred. If you are more than 15 minutes late collecting your pet a late collection charge to £30.00 will be incurred.
• The minimum charge for a cat grooming appointment is £85
• For health and safety – All cats will have nails cut before grooming
• All prices quoted are an estimate and can be subject to change depending on the circumstances
• Cats showing signs of aggression will not be bathed
• No liability will be accepted by Paawtopia in injury caused by the difficulty or aggressive behaviour of your pet.
• No liability will be accepted by Paawtopia when any health problem is uncovered or aggravated by any part of the grooming process. We will endeavour to notify you of anything we uncover during the grooming.
• An additional cost will be incurred for any cats that require knot or matted coat removal.  This incurs additional costs because it is a time-consuming process requiring expertise so as not to injure the animal.
• Flea treatments incur an additional cost
• Please make sure all cats are given ample opportunity to toilet before coming to their pet grooming appointment.
• Please note, to secure your booking we require a £50 deposit. This deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is also non-transferable unless we are notified 48 hours or more before the time and date of the appointment.
• Deposits can be taken via online bank transfer or in person at the salon.
• We retain the right to photograph your pet for purposes including social media, advertising, and educational use. Should you prefer that images of your pet not be utilised in this manner, please inform us at the time of your appointment.
• Please read the Privacy Policy on our website, which provides information on our GDPR (Data Protection) policy.

Additional Terms and Conditions

• Procedures within the grooming environment can be stressful for some pets particularly if older, unwell or because of their temperament. The process may expose unknown medical conditions or aggravate a current one during or after the groom.
• In the best interest of your pet this agreement will give Paawtopia authorisation and permission to seek emergency veterinary treatment if we deem it necessary for whatever reason. We will do the best to contact you first, before taking your pet for treatment, however this may not always be feasible. In such instance, all medical expenses are the responsibility of the owner. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you are expressly agreeing to the following disclaimer:
• Elderly, Infirm, Overweight or Young Pets. There is also an increased risk of other injuries such as cuts and grazes and stress and anxiety. Whilst we will always do what is possible to ensure the pet has a comfortable and stress-less experience, in some rare cases it may be that continuation of the grooming and the risk to the pet of injury entails we stop the process. Paawtopia reserve the right to stop the grooming process at anytime in such exceptional circumstances. Our ethos is always the best wellbeing of the pet.
• In very rare cases, if your pet is found to be under extreme stress and we are unable to complete the full groom, we will contact you to collect your pet so as to minimise any further discomfort.  In such a case we will retain the deposit paid.
• You consent to all the above and confirm that you are the legal owner/guardian of this pet.
